Mohannad Al Masre – The Head Of The “Damsco” Group Oversees The Distribution Of Aid To The Syrians In Turkey
DAMSCO Group Chairman Mohannad Al Masre supervised the distribution of aid to the Syrians in refugee centers and orphanages in the state of Hatay in southern Turkey, and Atma camp in Idlib, Syria, in coordination with the Turkish Red Crescent.
The aid included thousands of Syrians at home and in Turkey, and included food, blankets and tents, in addition to supporting various professions workshops that would develop the human resources of Syrian young men and women.
Prior to the start of distributing aid, Mohannad Al Masre visited, headed by a delegation from the Damsco group, the Sarnul warehouse of the Turkish Red Crescent, and briefed the officials on the mechanism of the organization’s teams and the assistance it provided to the Syrians in Turkey and the Syrian interior.
At the “Bueno Yugon” shelter for the Syrians, Mohannad Al Masre was briefed about the conditions of the Syrian refugees, visited handicraft education centers, and supervised the distribution of aid to families according to need.
And in the “Kindergarten Hopes Kindergarten” of the Humanitarian Society for Adoption of Children in Conflict, Mohannad Al Masre distributed food baskets to the Syrians, and confirmed that the Damsco group would provide the kindergarten with a heating system.
On the future projects that the Damsco Group intends to implement for the Syrians in Turkey, Al-Masry indicated that they will build an orphanage in Hatay Governorate that can accommodate 80 beds, in addition to opening several vocational rehabilitation centers, starting from a strategic vision, centered around preparing the largest possible segment of the Syrians Qualified to enter the labor market.
The Damsco Group delegation concluded its tour by visiting the Red Crescent Social Center in Hatay, and was briefed on the vocational education programs and other services the center provides to Syrians.
In an exclusive interview with Turk Press, Mohannad Al Masre stressed that the assistance provided by his group stems from his duty as a businessman towards his people and his homeland.
Mohannad Al Masre said that the assistance provided by the Damsco group, which it will provide in the future, will focus on human development assistance, which would raise the technical and professional competence of young men and women for a new stage in the future Syria.
Mohannad Al Masre said: “A large number of Syrians, whether refugees or displaced people, are not professionally qualified to enter the labor market. The preparation of human resources will be a key factor in building Syria after it was destroyed by the war. ”
The Syrian businessman mentioned that the next stage has become different from the eight years of the war that passed, saying: We should not stand like businessmen with no arms, we should roll up our hands and start building our country with our hands and not wait for supplies from abroad.
He pointed out that the volume of materials and goods that the Syrians buy in the liberated lands is very large, which they can produce and manufacture at home, if human resources are available.
The Egyptian encouraged the Syrians to return home, stressing that it would contribute to securing two thousand jobs for them.
He also called on his Syrian businessmen to invest in the Syrian person and not be satisfied with providing aid, encouraging them to direct their investments into the Syrian territories.
The Chairman of Damsco Group expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by Turkey towards its Syrian guests.
It is worth noting that this step comes within the framework of the pledges made by the “Damsco” group at the BADIR conference for the world of business and investment opportunities in Istanbul, which was held at the beginning of last December under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency and the organization of the Investment Office at the Turkish Presidency and the Turkish Ministry of Trade, with the participation of 50 countries.
It should be noted that the “Damsco” group was established in Damascus in 2004, and started active in the world of securities and foodstuff trading, to extend to Iraq in 2008 and add other sectors to its field of operation, to reach the United Arab Emirates in 2011.
In 2017, the Damsco group arrived in Turkey, announcing extensive activities in various fields of economic and commercial life such as money, food, cars, oil and its derivatives, real estate, electric power and minerals.
